Dynveo NAC is a premium dietary supplement providing 600 mg of pharmaceutical-grade N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) per capsule. NAC is a stable, acetylated form of the amino acid L-cysteine and serves as a precursor to glutathione, one of the body’s most important endogenous antioxidants.

L-cysteine is naturally obtained from protein-rich foods such as beef, poultry, eggs, and whole grains. In the body, it combines with glutamine and glycine to form glutathione, a compound involved in numerous physiological processes. Together with selenium, glutathione contributes to the activity of glutathione peroxidase, an enzyme that helps protect cells against oxidative stress.

A Stable and Highly Bioavailable Form of Cysteine

Unlike L-cysteine, which is relatively unstable, N-acetyl-L-cysteine is a more stable compound that is well absorbed by the body. Once consumed, NAC can be converted into cysteine and subsequently used in the synthesis of glutathione.

A portion of NAC remains in its free form and can also be found in bronchial secretions and immune cells. Due to its sulfhydryl (-SH) group, NAC is able to break disulfide bonds within mucus glycoproteins, helping to reduce mucus viscosity and make it less sticky.

Today, N-acetyl-L-cysteine can be produced using three different methods:

• Extraction from animal sources
• Natural biofermentation
